Superb glove box or case in black lacquered wood with gilded decoration on each side of animated scenes of characters and dragons finely hand-painted.
 
Provenance Far East, China.
19th century, Napoleon III period.
 
In very good condition, with slight traces of age and wear. The key is missing.
