Mongoose skull

Mongoose skull (Herpestidae), family of feliform carnivores.
 
 Herpestidae have an elongated face and body, small, round ears, short legs, and a long, tapered tail. Most are mottled or graying. Their claws are not retractable and they mainly use them for digging in the earth.
