Superb old oval reliquary frame, dating from the 19th century Napoleon III period. The reliquary features a central image of Jesus Christ. The image is surrounded by gilded palmettes and a Catholic relic of Soeur Ste Marguerite Alacoque, or Soeur Marguerite-Marie.
Beautiful blackened wood frame with gilded fillet, classic Second Empire style.
