An ancient ceramic statuette of a naga, representing a Hindu mythological creature. The naga is a mythical serpent, protector of nature and guarantor of fertility and fecundity, present in Buddhism in Southeast Asia.
Here, the naga is depicted in the form of a snake, its tail coiled around itself. Two front legs enable it to stand upright. It wears a necklace. Its skin is covered with scales.
In its original condition, with traces of age and wear. One claw and one ear missing.
