Virgin and Child in Majesty, H17cm, Marseille statuary by Auguste Pellegrini

Antique plaster statuette of the Virgin and Child in Majesty, depicting the Virgin seated on a throne and carrying the child on her left knee. The signature is missing, but it is a mold from the Tuscan-born Marseille statuary, Auguste Pellegrini. Many of his works can be found in churches throughout Provence and Corsica.
 
Original beige patina. In its original state, with traces of age and wear. Photos are an integral part of the description.
