Virgin and Child, H20cm, Marseille statuary by Auguste Pellegrini, 20th century

Antique plaster statuette of the Virgin and Child, depicting the crowned Virgin standing with the child on her left arm. The signature is missing, but it is a mold from the Tuscan-born Marseille statuary, Auguste Pellegrini. Many of his works can be found in churches throughout Provence and Corsica.
 
Original beige patina. In its original state, with traces of age and wear. Photos are an integral part of the description.
