Rare glazed stoneware pot, turquoise green enameled with beautiful crackle glaze.
Origin: Southern China (probably Hunan or Yunnan), known as the “Martaban” tradition.
Period: 18th century (Qing dynasty)
Material: stoneware covered with a coppery green/blue glaze
Function: utility jar for storing and transporting rice wine or other alcohols
