Old beautiful betel box from Asia. The box is cylindrical in shape with a lid, made of embossed and chiseled ethnic low-grade silver. No hallmark.

Betel is a substance derived from betel leaves and nuts from the same tree, used in particular in Asia for its tonic effect. It is used as a chewing preparation.
Good general condition, in its own juice with traces of age and wear, original patina. The silver titration being low, the patina is not the same as for 925 silver.
This is an antique object that can complete a cabinet of curiosities or an Asian Art collection.
