Box carved in silver metal, Les Chéris du Grand-père after Morgan, 19th century

Old round box, candy box or jewelry box in silver metal, and copper engraving. The subject, engraved by L'Aldigier, represents a painting by Frederick Morgan, a British painter of the 19th century. The engraver's signature is visible on the lid, and it also reads "  Grandfather's Darlings by Morgan  ". A label on the back of the lid indicates the MORLOT silversmith's shop in Marseille.

 

Rare vintage collector's item.

 

Good condition, in its own juice with traces of seniority and wear.

Silver color.
