Old bronze statue with brown patina of an animal subject. There is a monkey sitting on a branch, looking thinking. The figurine rests on a black marble base. Signature BARIE, unknown artist, probably French. The latter was inspired by the French sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye. The object can be used as a paperweight, bookend, decoration, etc.
Good general condition, in its own juice with traces of seniority and wear.
