Bronze of a disguised violin-playing monkey on a marble base, 19th century

In the style of Christophe Fratin, antique bronze figurine of a monkey playing the violin in a seated position. The subject is treated in an interesting way, with the monkey standing like a human being. He is dressed in 18th-century style, wearing a tricorne hat and uniform. The monkey is seated among flowers. Two-tone brown and gold patina.

The figurine is presented on its square marble base.

 

Good condition, in its original condition with traces of age and wear. Nice patina.
