Religious chapel, monoxyle carved wood baldachin, early 19th century

Beautiful old religious chapel or hotel designed to house a holy statuette or relic. The hotel is made of monoxyle wood (from a single piece of wood), finely carved and decorated with ogives and beads, with a cross overhanging the top. Hole in the center of the top, probably originally used to hold a statuette.
In its original juice with traces of age and wear, traces of pitting (treated).
This is an authentic antique object that will add style to your interior decoration or complete a collection of religious art.
