Tibetan Hand Bell in Solid Bronze - 3-Headed Buddhist Deity. 19th Century
Magnificent Tibetan hand bell in solid bronze dating from the 19th century. This rare and authentic object represents a three-headed Buddhist deity, to be identified.
This type of bell called "Ghanta", is used in Buddhist rituals to sound the beginning or end of sacred ceremonies.
This bell is finely detailed with traditional Tibetan motifs and presents beautiful craftsmanship. The three heads of the deity, finely carved, perhaps symbolize the various aspects of a Bodhisattva, but this remains to be confirmed.
Superb object for Collectors of sacred art and Buddhist ritual objects, Lovers of old and authentic pieces or Ritual or decorative use.
This bell shows some normal signs of wear, but nothing that affects its aesthetics or use. It is a unique piece that testifies to Tibetan art and spirituality of the 19th century. Superb patina of use and very beautiful bell sound
