Old book dealing with observational subjects, written by Dr Jean-Jacques Matignon, entitled “Superstition, crime and misery in China”.
Dr Matignon is a French military doctor born in 1866. He was notably attached to the French legation in Beijing in China until 1901, where he was able to observe and study through his writings social questions, criminology, the situation of women, family mores and prostitution in the Far East.
Book in its original condition with traces of age and wear. Second edition of the year 1900.
