A superb antique Chinese wood carving depicting the divine warrior Guan Yu, also revered as Guan Gong, an emblematic figure of loyalty, righteousness, and bravery in Chinese tradition.
He is shown mounted on his rearing horse, with a figure kneeling at his feet. This expressive work, created in the late 19th century, testifies to refined craftsmanship and a powerful symbolic presence.
