Exceptional Japanese series of 7 miniature heads finely hand-carved in wood, representing traditional Japanese theater masks.
 
Each face features a unique expression: laughter, anger, fear, surprise, sadness... These small sculptures could be associated with Nô or Kyōgen theater, or with the world of netsuke (traditional Japanese clothing accessories), or even with art buttons .
